The Millwork Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving strategic growth to the millwork business profitability through the use of managed pricing and other proven strategies. This position collaborates with sales and service in order to support revenue growth.

Base pay of $25,000.00 with a 7% commission rate.

Essential Functions:

· Supports the Company’s mission, vision, and core values

· Sells and upsells millwork products to customers at a fair market price to meet or exceed sales goals

· Writes accurate quotes in a timely manner

· Submits specifications (such as size, number, model, etc.) for written proposals

· Inspects job sites to verify measurements and feasibility of work requested

· Stays abreast with all building and labor requirements and selling features of products

· Analyzes and effectively communicates market dynamics and competitive changes

· Follows Company procedures for writing orders, securing payments and/or deposits

· Conducts follow-up and cold calls to increase profitability as required

· Works showroom on Saturdays assisting customers in person or over the phone and off-site home shows

· Stays current with residential building trends in the marketing area

· Networks with industry organizations in order to build brand awareness

· Complies with EPA Lead Renovation Regulations and Company procedures

· Maintains day-to-day communication with the Millwork Sales Manager

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:

· Shows a solid foundation in Company ethics and professional standards

· Knowledge of construction industry and products

· Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels

· Ability to read technical specifications

· Critical thinking and analytical skills

· Understanding of operations and project management constraints as well as financial acumen

· Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to interface with multiple levels and functions both internally and externally

· Ability to manage multiple projects with effective time management skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Technical /computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applications used by the Company

· Effective skills of listening, verbal, and written communication

· Ability to work under pressure and independently

Educational/Experience Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

· Five (5) years of successful selling experience

· Millwork sales experience is preferred

· Experience in entering and developing new markets

· Ability to travel up to 75%

· Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office

· Must be able to pass (post-offer) background check and drug screen

· Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record

Physical Requirements:

· Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

· Near vision and far vision necessary and the ability to adjust focus

· Good hearing and continuous verbal (speaking) communication

· Occasional reaching requirements of out, overhead, and low (below knees)

· Must be able to do occasional sitting and frequent standing

· Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and others

· Good dexterity of fingers/hands
