Our story starts in 1959, when Leo Murnan and Joe Nothomb had a simple idea. After O’Keefe Elevator decided to close its door division, Leo and Joe saw an opportunity to provide their friends and neighbors with premium garage door services. With not much more than an old red truck and a few leftover parts, they co-signed a loan and opened Omaha Door and Window. It was a humble beginning, built on hard work and a commitment to doing right by folks. But that foundation of honest service is something we’ve held onto ever since.
Growing With Our Community
As the years have gone by, our family and our business have grown right alongside the Omaha community. We’ve since expanded to a team of over 100 dedicated people. Along the way, we’ve added windows, glass, siding, and commercial doors to our offerings, eventually becoming the Omaha Door & Window you know today. Through it all, we’ve remained the family-run operation we’ve been since we opened our doors.
