Residential Scheduler

Omaha Door & Window is the oldest & largest new and replacement door & window company in the Omaha metro area and we want you to come work for us.The Residential Scheduler is an important team player who is responsible for coordinating the preparation of job routes/schedules based on defined project goals and execution of the Company’s policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the Company’s mission, vision, and core values
  • Maintains contact with managers, sales staff, and installers on assigned projects
  • Schedules and assigns installers to projects based on their skills and expertise
  • Keeps the schedules updated throughout the life of the project, generating reports, and identifying deviations notifying managers, sales staff, and installers of these changes
  • Answers customers’ warranty requests and then fabricates and schedules work orders to completed said warranty request
  • Contacts customers to arrange for dates and times of product installations or services
  • Ensures picking tickets have correct, detailed information including installer dates, times, inventory numbers, and any pictures enabling the ticket to be billed properly
  • Examines installers’ daily time sheets to ensure their time labored is accurate
  • Documents customer and service company call information to allow for proper flow of paperwork
  • Maintains day-to-day communication with the Commercial Operations Manager

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:

  • Shows a solid foundation in Company ethics and professional standards
  • Knowledge of construction industry and products
  • Skill in using scheduling tools
  • Provides clear and effective customer service with interaction over the phone or in person
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with effective time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Technical /computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applications used by the Company
  • A team player with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and customers
  • Effective skills of listening, verbal, and written communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently with some direction

Educational/Experience Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • One (1) year of scheduling/routing experience
  • After hours availability
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office and scheduling software
  • Must be able to pass (post-offer) background check and drug screen

 Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Near vision and far vision necessary and the ability to adjust focus
  • Good hearing and continuous verbal (speaking) communication
  • Occasional reaching requirements of out, overhead, and low (below knees)
  • Must be able to do continuous sitting and frequent standing
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and others
  • Good dexterity of fingers/hands

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.00 to $17.00 /hour
