10% Tax Credit
Save on energy efficient products!
Tax credit for qualifying windows, entry doors, & attic insulation have been extended into 2011. This new tax credit is limited to 10% of the product installed with maximum credit of $200 for qualifying windows and $500 for qualifying exterior entry doors, attic insulation, & the insulation that is used with siding. Maximum total credit of all products is $500. For example, if you use the $200 for windows you will only have $300 left for all other products. Homeowners, who have already claimed more than $200 for windows or $500 for entry doors & attic insulation since Jan 1, 2006, are disqualified from any further credits. Credit is based upon the amount spent on the product only. Installation labor costs are not included. Garage Doors don’t qualify for the tax credit.
